Memory Disorders Clinic Services
The Memory Disorders Clinic at the Banner Alzheimer's Institute provides outpatient treatment for patients who have Alzheimer's disease or other memory-related disorders.
On the first visit, the patient is seen by a physician trained as a dementia specialist. This evaluation will take about one and a half hours so please plan accordingly.
In this first visit, we will conduct a thorough review of the patient's medical history and symptoms. Staff may order laboratory tests and special studies, which could include brain imaging or neuropsychological testing.
The medical team will then review what has been found out to the patient and suggest ways for the patient and family to deal with any conditions that may have been identified. The clinic physician will send a report to the patient's primary care doctor and a family member.
