Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology

This lab is investigating the role estrogen plays as a protective agent in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Our research showed that without estrogen, pathologic mechanisms that may cause Alzheimer’s occurred much earlier for women.  This lab is also investigating the role hormones play in neurodegenerative diseases of aging.
