The R2 ImageChecker

The R2 ImageChecker System is like a ‘spell checker’ for medical images. It helps radiologists reduce the number of false negative readings by drawing attention to areas that need to be given a second look.

After radiologists view a mammogram conventionally, they review the R2 markers displayed on a video monitor.

Using this type of technology can result in earlier detection of up to 23 percent of the cancers currently detected with mammography in women who had a prior screening mammogram 9-24 months earlier.
