Emergency Care Services
We’ve all experienced life’s unpredictability -- from unexpected minor injuries to automobile accidents or even managing an ongoing illness. Through it all, it’s comforting to know that your nearby Banner Health facility offers Emergency Care with qualified and dedicated medical personnel.
Banner Health offers a variety of Emergency Care services, from urgent care to trauma care.
We recognize that emergencies are often stressful situations. That’s why we’re working to make sure your visit to a Banner Health Emergency department is as smooth as possible. We’ve improved the design of our Emergency departments and our processes so that you can receive care as quickly as possible.
Our Emergency departments feature health care providers, specialty-trained nurses and support staff who are well equipped to diagnose and treat your specific injury or illness.
Communication plays a key role in your successful treatment in the Emergency department. Language and interpretive services are available at all Banner facilities; please ask your nurse or Emergency department receptionist about them.
The Emergency departments at Banner Health are required by the Federal Emergency medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) to medically screen each patient to determine his or her need for emergency medical treatment. If the patient has an emergency medical condition or is in active labor, EMTALA mandates that the medical center provide stabilizing care within its capabilities regardless of the patient’s ability to pay.
