MESA, Ariz. (June 4, 2015) – Ashton Hamidy knew exactly what he wanted for his sixth birthday this year: to give his presents to children in the hospital. He recently told friends and family he’d prefer to collect donations of toys instead of receiving gifts for himself, and he brought dozens of them to Cardon Children’s Medical Center on Friday.

(May 6, 2015) – Cardon Children’s Medical Center will offer the chance for residents and visitors to take part in the “Ready, Set, Wear It!” event from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. May 16, which aims to help in setting a Guinness World Record for the most life jackets worn and inflatable life jackets inflated around the world. A group photo will take place at 2:15 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops, 1133 N. Dobson Road.

PHOENIX, Ariz. (April 1, 2015) – As the flu and cold season winds down, Banner Health, one of Arizona’s largest health care providers has lifted visitor restrictions at all of its facilities in the Valley. Restrictions for the 2014-2015 cold and flu season were implemented last Oct. 1; a little earlier than expected because of the outbreak of Enterovirus D68 across the nation.

MESA, Ariz. - Cheeriodicals, with the help of more than 1,300 employees from Thermo Fisher Scientific, recently brought cheer in the form of 280 big green boxes to patients at Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Cheeriodicals are "big green boxes of cheer" made up, in this case, of age-appropriate magazines and activity books, room decorations, puzzles, stickers and games for the children to enjoy.

MESA, Ariz.  (Dec. 8, 2014) – The music therapy department at Cardon Children’s Medical Center hosted a holiday kick-off variety show on Wednesday December 3rd, in the hospital’s Forever Young Zone. Talented young musicians and staff were able to showcase their melodius skills during this program, some using musical insturments that were generously donated by Blue Star Connection.
