Medical Imaging

Our Medical Imaging departments are designed to cater to the special needs of our pediatric patients and their families.

We understand that sometimes testing can be uncomfortable or scary for children and for parents. Our goal is to help the child and parents make any imaging experience as quick and as comfortable as possible.

To achieve that goal, our Medical Imaging departments provide radiologists, technologists and anesthesiologists trained in pediatric care, including conscious sedation.

Our hospitals offer an array of imaging procedures including:  

• Computed Tomography (CT)
• Image Guided Biopsy
• Diagnostic Radiography Imaging (X-ray)  
• Fluoroscopy 
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)  
• Nuclear Medicine  
• Ultrasound

Our hospitals support conscious sedation for some testing, including MRI or Nuclear Medicine. Conscious sedation is controlled by an anesthesiologist, and can be used for tests or procedures that require a child to hold still for an extended period of time.
