Pediatric surgeons at Banner Health hospitals perform many advanced surgeries often using minimally invasive techniques that:

Many pre-operative areas offer a dedicated space for children, with games and other activities to keep them occupied during their preparation for surgery.

In addition, Child Life Specialists offer pre-surgery education to comfort children before surgery. The education program includes a tour of the unit, one-on-one time with nurses and staff and a general overview of what the child can expect before, during and after surgery.

Robotic surgery is available at Cardon Children's Medical Center for certain conditions and for appropriate pediatric patients.
