The Banner Good Samaritan Behavioral Health Clinic provides comprehensive mental health services for adults and a limited number of children and adolescents. Specific clinical resources include 22 adult inpatient beds, an outpatient department averaging over 6,000 visits per year, an active consultation service, a fully-accredited Psychiatry residency training program and an internship for Psychologists, clinically oriented research activities and, as a major teaching affiliate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix Campus, a medical student clerkship and electives.
The clinic's full-time professional staff includes six board certified Psychiatrists, a doctoral level psychologist, a master's level counselor, therapists and social workers, nurses, two Psychology interns and 20 Psychiatry residents. The Behavioral Health Center's presence at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center provides ready access to over 1,000 specialists and state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities.
