Disability Eligibility
The Disability Plans (Short Term Disability STD and Long Term Disability LTD) protect your income if you cannot work due to an illness or injury. Banner Health automatically provides this coverage for eligible employees and pays the full cost of coverage.
Who is Eligible
You are budgeted to work at least 32 hours per pay period and your employment classification is either full-time or part-time. If a break in service or change to an ineligible employment classification occurs prior to your eligibility or after you were eligible, other rules apply and are located in the Benefit Summary under the section STD/LTD Eligibility Begins.
When Does Eligibility Begin?
Provided you are actively at work, budgeted to work at least 32 hours per pay period and your employment classification is either full-time or part-time, STD/LTD eligibility will begin on the 1st day following 365 calendar days in an eligible employment classification.
