Banner Health is deeply committed to the emotional and psychological well-being of our employees and your dependents. Behavioral health issues should be addressed like any physical or personal challenges – in a timely manner with skilled professionals.

To assist you and your dependents in resolving personal or work-life balance issues, Banner provides counseling, crisis intervention and work-life assistance through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Use of this program is free, completely confidential and is provided 24/7 through Cigna Behavioral Health

You and your household family members are eligible for visits with a qualified counselor at no cost to you. If a referral to a psychologist or psychiatrist is necessary, visits may be covered  under the mental health portion of your Banner medical plan. The Cigna Behavioral Health site provides self-assessment tools, work-life resources, online tools to help manage alcoholism and depression, articles on behavioral health and much more. The site also provides lists of plan approved therapists, psychiatrists and other treatment professionals near to work or home.

Whether you or a family member needs help with work-life balance issues, coping with stress, substance abuse, depression or any other behavioral issues, both EAP and the mental health coverage included in your Banner Health medical plan can provide timely, quality and confidential care and treatment.
