You now can order a three-month supply of maintenance medications through the mail for greater savings and convenience.
Maintenance medications can include:
- Birth control pills
- Hormones
- Blood pressure medications

Mail order is not only convenient – the prescriptions are delivered right to your door – your co-payment is also about 33 percent lower than the co-payments for the same drugs bought in 31-day supply increments from a local pharmacy.
Pharmacy Mail Order
Banner Health and Express Scripts, our pharmacy benefits manager, are partnering to make it easy for you to save money on any existing or newly prescribed maintenance medications that you take regularly for ongoing conditions, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and asthma. To find out if a specific prescription drug is considered a maintenance medication in Banner’s pharmacy plans, and to enroll in the Mail Order program:
- Contact an Express Scripts patient care advocate (PCA) at (800) 900-6337 (7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central, M – F).
- Provide the Patient Care Advocate with the ID # located on your Banner plan ID card, or the primary cardholder’s SSN.
- If you wish to begin using home delivery, Express Scripts will contact your physician to obtain a 90-day prescription. Simply provide them with your physician’s name and phone number.
You can use the dollars in your Health Care Flexible Spending Account to cover your copays and out-of-pocket expenses.
