Banner Health Employee Benefits - Resources

Cost Of Coverage

You and Banner share the cost of your benefits coverage, with Banner paying the majority of the cost for most employees. Premium information is available to Banner employees through your local Human Resources department.

Your 401(k) and Flexible Spending Account contributions are deducted over 26 pay periods. Your medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life and legal are deducted 24 of the 26 pay periods. These two pay periods are called limited deduction pay periods. Refer to your payroll calendar for the scheduled limited deductions.

Most benefit deductions are taken on a pre-tax basis. This reduces your taxable income which lowers the amount of Federal and State taxes withheld from each paycheck.  Employee Life/AD&D over $50,000, spouse and dependent Life/AD&D and the Hyatt Legal Plan are taken post-tax.

If you choose to add a domestic partner to your plans, your premiums will be deducted with after tax dollars.  You will also be taxed an imputed income related to the cost that Banner is contributing toward your domestic partner.
