We brought our daughter to Banner Gateway Medical Center on Sunday, March 1, 2009. She had a bowel bleed. This was the first time she had ever had that type of problem. Our daughter, "Susie" is 31 years old, developmentally disabled - with a seizure disorder along with other medical problems she is being treated for.
We had never been to a Banner facility before. From the moment we walked in the doors of the emergency room, to the time of her discharge, five days later, my daughter was treated very carefully and compassionately by the staff at Banner Gateway.
The nourishment room on her hospital wing, I believe, kept me from getting sick - as I ended up spending much more time by her side that anticipated. There were times I couldn't even leave to go down to the cafeteria and found something in the nourishment room to keep me going. Thank you.
The hospital staff was wonderful. During the five days she was monitored and cared for by many doctors, nurses and aides, all of which were professional and sensitive to her special needs. Bottom line . . . she is well. Thank you to all for your great care.
