Jean's Story |
My husband was admitted to Banner Thunderbird Medical Center's emergency department on June 7, 2012. He had recently been in another hospital, treated and released for a blood infection.
I specifically asked that the paramedics take him to your hospital as he was working with a GI doctor that had privileges at your hospital. He got a call back and was admitted to the progressive care unit and released on June 14, 2012
He was assigned a team of doctors to his case in the Progressive Care Unit including a cardiologist, his GI doctor, a hospitalist , a surgeon and an infectious disease doctor.
His Infectious Disease doctor was Dr. Sen Jou. I cannot say enough about the thoroughness, caring, dedication and attention provided by Dr. Jou. He communicated what was happening every step of the way and thus provided a sense of comfort and understanding. He visited my husband seven days a week and on a couple of occasions more than once in a day.
Dr. Jou was instrumental in my husbands’ speedy recovery and helped arrange and orchestrate things that were not even in his purview. His kindness and thoughtfulness were only exceeded by his ability to communicate and paint a total picture of the situation.
Quite frankly he is amazing! The entire experience at the hospital was very positive. The level of consistency and communication was welcomed and appreciated. The thoughtfulness and kindness of the entire staff throughout the hospital was pervasive. The level of care and attention to detail is one that you should be very proud of indeed. This letter however is to clearly commend Dr. Sen Jou. He was instrumental in everything that happened to my husband and his well-being.
