Board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Dr. Tan earned his medical degree at the University College Cork in Ireland.

He trained in General Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery in Cork University Hospital, Ireland. His training in General Surgery was completed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., and the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He then finished an Orthopedic Hand Fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla., followed by a Plastic Surgery Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston.
