Dr. Carter is a nationally acclaimed gynecologist. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her internship at the Hermann Hospital/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Her residency was completed at St. Luke's/ Presbyterian Hospitals, University of Colorado.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Carter specializes in in-office procedures to treat conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, irregular menses, abnormal pap smears and ovarian cysts. In addition, she specializes in gynecologic cancers and rehabilitation from cancer, as well as sports medicine, research and education.
Dr. Carter is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine. She is the medical director of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery at North Colorado Medical Center, owner and founder of the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute and an assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
