Dr. Tello has been practicing as an internist in Loveland for more than 30 years, treating adults with heart, kidney and lung diseases, as well as diabetes and hypertension. He was a Commander in the U.S. Navy and served as a General Medical Officer for Indian Health Services. He served active duty in Desert Storm and was awarded with a Navy Commendation Medal in 1996.
A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Dr. Tello completed an internship at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, Texas and a residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Tello is Past President and Treasurer of the Larimer County Medical Society and has served on the legislative council of the Colorado Medical Society. He has received the Navajo Tribe Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Service and has been named by Rotary International as a Paul Harris Fellow.
Interests and Activities:
I've been married for nearly 40 years. In my spare time, I love to golf, travel and ski. I also read extensively on history, especially religious, American and Latin American.
