Dr. Nix focuses on prevention, diagnosis and treatment for all general family healthcare needs. Dr. Nix received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Okla., and then proceeded to do her residency with the Family Practice Residency Program at R.L. Thompson Hospital, Carswell Air Force Base in Texas. Dr. Nix received her certification from the American Board of Family Practice.
Dr. Nix currently serves as the Quality Improvement Director for the Family Care Clinic at Sterling Regional MedCenter as well as the Medical Director of Hospice of the Plains. She is affiliated with the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Practice, and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Nix retired from the Air Force reserves after 21 years of service in 2006.
