Kathy Bollinger, Executive Vice President – University Medicine
Kathy Bollinger was named executive vice president of University Medicine in 2015.
In this role she is responsible for oversight of Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, Banner – University Medical Center South and Banner – University Medical Center Tucson in addition to Banner – University Medical Group. She is also responsible for operating efficiency and clinical excellence and oversight of the University of Arizona Medical Schools' relationship with Banner Health.
Prior to that, Bollinger had served as president of Banner Health's Arizona West Region since 2009.
Previously, she was CEO of Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., and CEO of Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.
Prior to becoming a CEO, she held a variety of positions with Lutheran Health Network, including director of planning and marketing, director of outpatient services and manager of speech, language and hearing services.
Bollinger started her health care career as a speech pathologist at Oak Forest Hospital, Oak Forest, Ill.
She holds a bachelor's in speech pathology and audiology and a master's in communications disorders from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Ill.
Bollinger is a certified Hudson Coach, and passionate about developing human potential. Dedicated to supporting healthy families, she is involved in a number of community groups.
