Kathy Bollinger, Executive Vice President – University Medicine
Kathy Bollinger was named executive vice president of Banner University Medicine in 2015. In this role she is responsible for Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, Banner – University Medical Center South and Banner – University Medical Center Tucson in addition to Banner – University Medical Group She is also responsible for operating efficiency and clinical excellence and oversight of the University of Arizona Medical Schools' relationship with Banner Health. Kathy serves as the Co-chair of the newly formed Academic Management Council (governance structure) for Banner Academics.
Kathy is originally from Chicago and has held a number of roles in Banner Health over the past 30 years. Kathy had served as president of Banner Health's Arizona West Region since 2009. Prior to that, she was CEO of Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, and CEO of Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona.
Kathy holds a bachelor's in speech pathology and audiology and a master's in Speech and Language Pathology from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Ill.
Bollinger is a certified Hudson Coach, and believes that leadership is the critical success factor to organizational success. She enjoys serving as coach and mentor to her teams.
Kathy is married to Tom Bollinger (35 years) and they have a daughter, Ellyse Nichole. When not working, Kathy enjoys time with her family, traveling, hiking and cooking.
