‘Look Good…Feel Better’ helps cancer patients
GLENDALE, Ariz. (March 18, 2013) – A free program for cancer patients, “Look Good…Feel Better,” will offer cosmetology tips from 6 to 8 p.m. April 3 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center’s 3A Conference Room, 5555 W. Thunderbird Road.
Cosmetology professionals will help participants learn about skin changes and hair loss; care of a wig, scarves, turbans and hats; dry skin; and discolored nails. A free cosmetic kit will be provided. T
he American Cancer Society's "Look Good ... Feel Better" program is a community-based, free, national service that teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
