Banner Del E. Webb cardiologist urges women to take control of their hearts
SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. (June 18, 2013) – Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center will host a free seminar on women and heart disease from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 11. The event, part of a year-long lecture series celebrating Banner Del E. Webb’s 25th anniversary, will take place in the hospital’s auditorium, located at 14502 W. Meeker Blvd. in Sun City West, Ariz.
Both women and men are invited to learn more about the No. 1 killer of women in the United States with Dr. Manoj Rawal, a board-certified cardiologist and Chief of Cardiology at Banner Del E. Webb.
“Many women think if they have a family history of heart disease, there’s nothing they can do,” said Dr.Rawal. “The truth is there are many things women – and men – can do to reduce their risk of coronary artery disease, including controlling blood pressure and cholesterol, eating a heart-healthy diet and establishing an exercise routine.”
