Banner Health OB/Gyn returning home to Sterling

STERLING, Colo. (Jan. 16, 2013) – Obstetrician/gynecologist L. Ginger Frederiksen, MD, is returning to care for the residents in her hometown.

Dr. Frederiksen was born and raised in Sterling. She is in her 13th year of practice and has been working with Banner Health Clinic, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at McKee Medical Center in Loveland for the past seven years. Prior to that, she worked in private practice and in the United States Air Force.

Her areas of interest are women’s health including office-based procedures, minimally invasive surgery as well as other surgery for heavy bleeding, sterilization and uterine fibroids. She also does obstetrics.
She will begin practicing at the Banner Health Clinic, specializing in Women’s Care in Sterling on Jan. 28. The clinic is located at 1405 S. Eighth Ave., Suite 105. She is joining Sidney J. Adler, MD in the practice.

Dr. Frederiksen is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. She completed her residency at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City. She served active duty in the United States Air Force for four years. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

In her spare time, Dr. Frederiksen is an avid snow skier and enjoys quarter horses, reading, boating and spending time with her family and friends and said she looks forward to pursuing the activities she enjoyed while living in a rural area.
