Adult Intensive Outpatient - Mental Health Program
Banner Thunderbird Adult Intensive Outpatient - Mental Health program, in Glendale, Ariz., is a crisis stabilization program for clients with a psychiatric diagnosis who do not require inpatient treatment but require more than regular individual, outpatient counseling.
Patients may enter the program at any time. The program uses cognitive-behavioral therapies to help the client explore the nature of their illness and recovery.
Our goals include:
- Help the patient and their families understand the patient's illness
- Develop the skills needed to be back into the community
- Develop the skills to maintain the patient's and family's recovery.
The program is led by a master's level, licensed therapist. It provides three hours of intensive treatment, three times a week.
Monday - Wednesday - Thursday
9 a.m. to Noon
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Significant others/family are a vital part of the treatment process. Because the patient returns home each day, it is vital that family members become actively involved in the therapeutic process to help the patient integrate new skills into the relationship. Adult family members attend one session each week with the patient.
Our Intensive Outpatient program is covered by most insurance plans. Please contact your carrier, or we will be happy to assist you with this.
