An estimated 5 to 10 percent of Americans will experience a seizure at some time in life. Epilepsy, which disrupts the transmission of electrical signals inside the brain, is diagnosed when a person has two or more seizures.
The type and severity of epilepsy varies the same treatment does not work for every patient. Our team of experts from different medical specialties work together to find the most appropriate treatment for each patient, whether it be medications, surgery or vagus nerve stimulation.
