Martin Shultz is senior policy director for the national law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP. He specializes in government relations, energy, real estate, health care, taxation and community development. He retired in 2010 as vice president of government affairs for Pinnacle West Capital Corp. and Arizona Public Service (APS), Pinnacle West’s major electric utility subsidiary.

Shultz has extensive experience in legislative and government affairs, corporate relations, business and strategic planning. He also has a community service resume that spans four decades. Prior to APS, Shultz was chief of staff for three Phoenix majors, a financial and tax consultant to the Arizona legislature, director of sales and marketing for the Phoenix Suns, and director of education for Osborn School District in Phoenix.

Shultz is a graduate of Arizona State University with a master’s in education and business administration. He has also completed graduate work at UCLA, ASU, and JFK School of Public Administration and Politics at Harvard University.
