Susan Bartlett Foote, a member of the Banner Health Board of Directors, is professor emeritus at the School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Minnesota. Previously, she was a consultant on health policy in Washington, D.C., a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow, a senior health advisor to a U.S. senator, and faculty member of the Haas School of Business, University of California.
A well-known expert on health policy, Professor Foote has served as an advisor to many federal agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, Office of Science and Technology Policy, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Institute of Medicine.
Professor Foote is an author and writer of numerous articles on medical technology policy, Medicare, federal/state relations and health reform. She attended Smith College, holds bachelor and master’s degrees from Case Western Reserve University, and a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
