William M. Dwyer, a member of the Banner Health Board of Directors, is president and founder of Dwyer HC Strategies, LLC, a Kansas City, Missouri-based health care strategic consulting firm. Previously, he was senior vice president of Cerner Corp., a leading health care information technology supplier, where he oversaw business development initiatives relating to future patient care information technologies.
Dwyer has served on a number of national boards of directors, including the National Committee for Quality Health Care in Washington D.C., and he was a founding member of the National Center for Healthcare Leadership. He is a nationally recognized speaker and has contributed to many journal and book publications on health care matters.
Dwyer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, and a master’s in business administration with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in marketing and health systems management.
