Jeff Shelton was appointed as CEO of Sterling Regional MedCenter in 2015.
Shelton came to Banner from Shattuck, Oklahoma, where he was CEO of Newman Memorial Hospital, a 74-bed acute care facility. He brings nearly 3 decades of health care experience to his role at Sterling, including everything from frontline patient care, to executive leadership.
Shelton began his career at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky. He was eventually recruited to Nebraska, where he served as director of cardiopulmonary services at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. He was later became CEO of Harlan County Health System, also in Nebraska.
Shelton has an associate degree in respiratory therapy from the University of Kentucky, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master’s in health care administration from Bellevue University in Nebraska.
