Dr. Corey Casper is senior vice president and chief research officer at Banner Health, where he leads Banner Research in advancing diagnostics, treatments and prevention for neurologic, cardiovascular, oncologic and other disease.
Before joining Banner in 2025, Dr. Casper held senior research and clinical leadership roles for more than two decades, including founding and directing the Global Oncology program at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, where he built a leading international research, training and clinical care program.
An accomplished scientist and entrepreneur, Dr. Casper has helped develop more than two dozen products, contributed to the founding of several biotechnology companies, led more than $100 million in grants and contracts, and authored more than 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, completed an internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and received a Master of Public Health in epidemiology from the University of Washington, where he also completed his infectious disease fellowship. He continues to care for patients at Banner Health.
