4th Annual SCAN Education Conference

Must be a Banner Employee or a community professional (Community Health Care employee, EMS, Law Enforcement, DCS, OCWI, other social services professional, etc) to enroll

The 4th Annual Child Abuse Education Conference is a 1 day conference offering many lectures aimed at medical professionals who encounter child maltreatment issues and those in the community that work in the field of Child Maltreatment. This year's theme will be "Trauma Informed Care and Resilience". The topics will include "Trauma and the Developing Child's Brain", "SIDS and SUIDI Death Investigation", "Opioid Crisis and Substance-exposed Newborns", as well as a viewing of the documentary 'Resilience'.

Target Audience:
The audience will consist of primarily Banner Nurses, Social Workers, Child Life, and Physicians. Some additional spots will be filled by First Responders (EMT’s, Law Enforcement, and Child Welfare Specialists) from across the valley.
