Care of The Drug Exposed Newborn

Banner Baywood Medical Center would like to invite you to our first community class for drug-exposed newborns.

This class is for pregnant patients whose baby has been exposed to either illicit or prescribed medication that can lead to dependency. The class will consist of answers to common questions and concerns regarding the care and treatment of babies after birth.

We will also discuss how families can partner with the nursery team to provide the best healing for your new addition. At the end of the session, you will be invited to participate in open forums with our nursery nurse, social worker, and nurse practitioner.

The class is offered free of charge, and patients are welcomed to invite family members.

Registration prior to the scheduled class date is required.
