Love and Logic (Part 5/6): Guiding Kids to Own and Solve Their Problems

Parenting can perhaps best be described as dealing with a range of emotions, from pure joy to sheer frustration.

As educators at Banner Children's Academy of Education and Development, we are proud to offer Love and Logic®, a special workshop series that will help you turn parenting and teaching into a fun and rewarding experience, instead of stressful and chaotic. The six-week workshop series, with each session dedicated to a particular aspect of child-rearing, will help you develop a respectful, healthy and positive relationship.

Love allows children to grow through their mistakes. Logic allows them to handle the consequences of their choices.

The workshop is based on a philosophy founded in 1977 by Jim Fay and Foster W. Cline, MD.

The Love and Logic® approach works with toddlers, teens and all kids in between. Young children learn problem solving and decision-making skills that they can carry into adolescence.

Teenagers learn valuable lessons about taking responsibility for their actions and handling ''natural consequences'' as they mature into young adults.

Why Does it Work?

  • Uses humor, hope and empathy to build up the adult-child relationship
  • Emphasizes respect and dignity for children and adults
  • Provides real limits in a loving way
  • Teaches consequences and healthy decision-making

There is a $10 cancellation fee per class and no refund will be received if cancelled less than one week prior to the class start date. Please contact the 230-CARE department at (602) 230-CARE (2273) during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to cancel or reschedule.
