This class is highly recommended for every expectant parent. Mothers-to-be and their coaches say they feel more prepared, relaxed and knowledgeable about childbirth after taking this course. You learn what to expect during the late stages of pregnancy, how to detect preterm labor and what to do when labor begins. You will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort measures, pain management options available, how your coach can support you and what happens during and following birth.
Please bring a pillow, large towel, pen, one coach only and your "Parents to be" book (which you receive from your doctor's office).
This 3-day class is held on January 17, 24 and 31st from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Major Cross Streets: McDowell Road and 12th Street
Park on the 3rd floor of the parking structure at the main entrance to Banner – University Medical Center. (Cost for parking is Free, with validation.) Take the small bridge that connects the parking structure to the hospital. Turn right at the first hallway. The classroom is in front of you. Classes are held in the 3rd floor Pre–Natal classroom. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
