Bring your 4 to 9 year old child to this class between 28 and 40 weeks of pregnancy – or up to 3 months after the arrival of your child. This fun and interactive experience will help your child get ready: we will discuss how to be a "Big Helper" to Mom and Dad with holding, feeding and changing baby, with emphasis on the importance of hand washing.
Through a video, "Welcome New Sibling" art projects, and "hands-on" practice with a doll or stuffed animal, your child will begin to understand the changes that a newborn will bring to their home. Discussion includes feelings they may have about the new baby, questions about pregnancy, a tour of the facility, and safety awareness.
Child must be accompanied by at least one adult. Please bring your child with favorite doll or teddy bear.
Please park in the Women's Center parking lot (parking is free). Class will be held in Auditorium A from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The cost for this event is $20.00 for the first child, and $5.00 for each additional sibling. There is a $10 cancellation fee, and no refund one week prior to class.
If registering more than 1 child; must call (602) 230-CARE to schedule.
