The Outpatient Therapies Center

The Outpatient Therapies Center is part of the Rehabilitation Institute at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. We offer state-of-the-art, specialized and evidence-based evaluation and treatments for patients suffering from physical, cognitive and social dysfunction.

Our providers include physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists. They collaborate to provide the most comprehensive treatment plans for virtually all neurological, orthopedic, physical and cognitive conditions.

The Outpatient Therapies Center’s advanced technology helps to accurately assess and treat a variety of conditions. Some conditions we treat include:

  • Speech and swallowing dysfunction
  • Spine, spinal cord injury and joint conditions
  • Stroke
  • Traumatic brain injury

We also offer specialized programs, focusing on sport-specific training, therapies for the return to driving and adapted driving after injury, and vocational training. 

The center also serves as an integrated resource, assisting with the advancement of medical care across the continuum. The department works closely with all of the Banner institutes in developing comprehensive care protocols and ensuring patient outcomes. Both orthopedic and neurological residents contribute with performing research and the advancement of their respective fields.
