Pediatric Resources and Programs

Back To Pediatrics

At Banner Children’s, our care includes clinical services and much more. Our experts of all kinds provide kids and families with education and support systems designed to help keep them happy, safe and well.

What Types of Educational and Support Materials Are Available for Children?

We have a number of educational and support options, like classes and support groups, available to your child and family. In addition, we also offer resources around bullying, injury prevention and more.

Bullying Resources

Bullying is a serious problem. Every child, no matter what their size, could potentially experience bullying in their life. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 1 in 4 U.S. kids (28%) in grades 6 through 12 reported a bullying incident during a 2014 study, and more than 7 in 10 kids (70.6%) reported seeing bullying in their schools. Injury Prevention Resources and Safety Tips

We aim to keep your child safe, happy and well outside of the hospital, too. Banner Children’s Injury Prevention Program provides information on preventable injuries and deaths for children. Learn more about injury prevention and safety tips for your child here.

Banner Children’s Programs

We offer special programs to ensure kids are getting the best healthcare if uninsured and the best education if they are in the hospital or have emotional or learning challenges.

Toy Closet

What is one of the best medicines for a child in the hospital? A visit to the toy closet. At Banner Children’s, we are dedicated to making sure every child who has a visit to the hospital received the most compassionate care possible. That’s why we let kids choose a toy from the closet as a reward for their bravery after they go through a treatment or procedure at one of our pediatric hospital locations.

Banner Children's Hospital School

The Banner Children's Hospital School program brings the classroom to the hospital. Our staff of experienced teachers offers on-site classroom or bedside teaching to help kids keep up with their studies while they are in the hospital.

Banner Academy
