When visiting the University of Arizona Cancer Center we want your visit to go as smoothly as possible. The following pieces aim to help you feel prepared for your visit.

Montaser Shaheen, MD

Hematology/Oncology, Telemedicine

Physician, University of Arizona Cancer Center
I deliver comprehensive, expert care in collaboration with each of my patients.

Baldassarre Stea, MD

Telemedicine, Radiation Oncology

Physician, Banner - University Medical Center Tucson Campus - Banner University Medicine North
I love taking care of cancer patients; each patient presents with unique and challenging problems. My responsibility as a physician is to make sure I have provided my patients with the best treatment options about their cancer or tumor and to help them make the difficult decisions that may affect their lives. When approaching a patient, my philosophy is to treat him or her as if they were a family member with empathy, compassion and expertise. My goal is always to cure the disease, but when faced with an incurable problem, I am prepared to shift my focus to relieving suffering.

David Stewart, MD

Telemedicine, Colorectal Surgery

Physician, Banner-University Medical Center Tucson Campus
My goal is to provide each patient with the highest quality, up-to-date care available for their problem, and to do so in a manner which makes each patient feel respected and cared for. More than anything, I want to earn my patient's trust, and for them to know that I will oversee the management of their condition from beginning to end.
