Student Coordination

Welcome Students!

Banner Health wants to help prepare you for an on-site experience. Our role is to provide the best possible clinical experience for you while you are at any Banner facility.

Preparing for a Rotation

All necessary information for preparation should be provided through your school.

Banner Health requires all students to complete requirements through MyClinicalExchange (mCE) prior to the start of a rotation. This includes uploading proof of immunizations.

Rotation Guidelines and Expectations

All Students are expected to act in an appropriate manner while on any Banner site or Campus.

By following a couple of Banner Health Values: treating those we serve and each other with compassion, dignity and respect. And by acting with integrity and striving for the highest quality care and service, the result will be a fantastic learning experience.

What Are Students Allowed to Do During a Rotation?

Requirements vary per discipline but as a general rule students can do just about everything a licensed professional can do as long as it is done under the supervision of a licensed staff person. Medicare Medicaid guidelines prohibit students from independently performing procedures or documenting in a manner that result in charges to the patient.

How Do I Schedule a Rotation?

Students are discouraged from cold calling for a preceptor or rotation availability. For information on how to schedule a student experience at Banner Health, please contact the faculty at your educational institution. who will contact the designated student coordinator.
