Mike Elliott

SR. DIRECTOR, HIGH PERFORMANCE

Mike Elliott serves as Senior Director of High Performance at the Banner Sports Medicine High Performance Center, where he leads an interdisciplinary team focused on athlete performance enhancement, injury prevention, and return-to-play protocols. He brings extensive professional sports experience, most recently as vice president of performance healthcare for the Utah Jazz, where he directed medical and sports science operations including athletic training, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mental performance. His leadership earned the Jazz health and performance department the 2019-2020 Joe O'Toole/David Craig Athletic Training Staff of the Year Award from the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association.

Elliott's NBA career includes 14 seasons with the Phoenix Suns (2003-2017), progressing through roles as assistant athletic trainer, head strength and conditioning coach, and director of performance. The National Basketball Strength and Conditioning Association recognized him as NBA Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year for the 2013-2014 season. Beyond basketball, he has worked with athletes from the PGA Tour, WNBA, and U.S. Women's National Soccer Team.

Elliott holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Arizona State University and a master's in performance enhancement and injury prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. He maintains certifications as an athletic trainer, performance enhancement specialist, and corrective exercise specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), where he also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for RAMMS, a Phoenix youth recreational sports organization.
