Comprehensive Pulmonary Care
Platte County Hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient pulmonary (lung) care services. The cardiopulmonary staff provide best-practice respiratory care to all patient demographics as indicated by clinical presentation and/or physician order, providing ancillary clinical support to nurses and physicians within the scope of respiratory care.
Procedures performed by Cardiopulmonary Services include, but are not limited to: Blood Gas collection, EKGs, Pulmonary Function Testing, Peak Flow, Pharmacologic and Treadmill Stress Testing, Administration of respiratory medications, BiPAP, CPAP, Ventilator management, intubation assist and artificial airway maintenance. Additionally, services include Patient education on respiratory disease processes, as well as cardiopulmonary rehab. The therapies and related equipment are available throughout every patient interaction.
Licensed Therapists are available 24/7 to provide acute care services and on weekdays for scheduled outpatient services.
