Fall Prevention

Worried about falling? Had a near fall in the past year? Then you may qualify for a 12-week fall prevention program. 

1 in 3 older adults will experience a fall every year. National data shows a structured exercise program can reduce the risk of falls up to 55% in adults over 65 years of age. So, take advantage of your Banner Medicare Advantage Fall Prevention Exercise and Nutrition Program to reduce your fall risk.

When you join, an exercise physiologist will:

  • Assess your fall risk,
  • Provide:
    • Balance training,
    • Lower extremity strengthening and 
    • A home safety checklist.

A registered dietitian will also provide nutrition education on how to best equip your body to prevent falls.

Sessions are tailored and provided through a telehealth platform or phone call.
