PHOENIX - Banner Health, in partnership with A.T. Still University, is hosting a series of free workshops designed to reduce the fear of falling. The community is invited to attend A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls.
Adults 65 years of age and older experience a fall every year and can suffer moderate to severe injuries such as cuts, hip fractures and/or head traumas. Falls are almost the most common cause of traumatic brain injuries and are the most common cause of nonfatal injuries and hospital admissions for trauma.
The 8-week class will run from 9 to 11 a.m. on Fridays beginning Jan. 8 until Feb. 26 throughout the Valley. Classes are free, but registration is required for the following classes:
