Community Hospital receives Google Top Hospital accolades

Recognition follows successful Joint Commission and Rural Health Clinic surveys, highlighting quality, safety and trusted local care

TORRINGTON, Wyo. (Sept. 14, 2026) – Community Hospital in Torrington is celebrating several recent accomplishments that reflect its ongoing commitment to high-quality, safe and compassionate care for patients and families in southeast Wyoming.

Community Hospital has been named a Top Hospital in Wyoming for 2026 based on Google reviews by BusinessRate. According to BusinessRate, the recognition is based on verified customer feedback and publicly available review data from more than 26 million businesses and 1.7 billion reviews compiled over 18 years.

In addition, Community Hospital recently completed its Joint Commission accreditation survey, successfully earning accreditation again. At the same time, the Banner Medical Group clinic completed its Rural Health Clinic survey and also successfully passed.

Together, the achievements represent three different but meaningful measures of the work happening at Community Hospital: meeting rigorous standards for quality and safety, supporting access to rural health care and earning the trust of patients and community members.

“Completing a Joint Commission accreditation survey takes months of preparation, close attention to detail and teamwork across every department,” said Ingrid Long, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Community Hospital. “This process looks closely at how we deliver care, keep patients safe and continuously improve. Earning accreditation again is a reflection of the dedication of our team and the high standards our patients can expect when they come to Community Hospital.”

The Rural Health Clinic survey also recognizes the important role the Banner Medical Group clinic plays in expanding access to care for Torrington and surrounding communities. Rural health clinics help ensure patients can receive primary care and other essential services close to home.

For Community Hospital, the recent accomplishments reinforce the importance of local access to high-quality care in a rural community.

“Patients should not have to leave their community to feel confident in the care they receive,” said Long. “These milestones show that Community Hospital continues to meet high standards while providing personal, community-centered care close to home.”
