PHOENIX (Dec. 24, 2025) – It has been another festive season at Banner Health facilities, celebrating holidays with events, special visits and being on the receiving end of generosity from our communities.
Organizations including the Armer Foundation, Walmart, Walgreens, Fit Body Boot Camp, the Mesa Fire Department, the Glendale Police Department, the Deer Valley Eagle Riders and numerous others donated gifts to Banner Children’s hospitals at Desert in Mesa, at Thunderbird in Glendale and at Diamond Children’s in Tucson during the season.
Among the highlights: on Dec. 13, the Deer Valley Eagle Riders delivered their donation to Banner Children's at Thunderbird on motorcycles, members of the Tucson Roadrunners minor league hockey team on Dec. 16 did arts and crafts with patients at Banner’s Diamond Children’s in Tucson, on Dec. 18, Arizona State Troopers and others from various state departments brought teddy bears and police badges for children at Diamond Children’s in Tucson, and on Dec. 23, the Christmas family donated toys at Banner Children’s at Desert in Mesa in memory of their daughter, Savannah, who passed away in 2020.
Different groups filled bins with gifts to fill toy closets at facilities and distribute to those who will remain in hospitals during the holiday.
Along with the gifts were donations time by Santas in the children’s units at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, Banner Estrella in Phoenix, Banner Thunderbird and Banner Desert.
