PHOENIX (Oct. 9, 2025) - Banner Alzheimer’s Institute will hold the seventh annual “Shine a Light on All Dementias” community event from 3:30 to 6 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 22, in the main parking lot of the institute, 901 E. Willetta St., in Phoenix.
The free event is designed to challenge stereotypes, raise awareness and bring hope for Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia, in recognition of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
Included will be family activities, live music, exercises, community resources and more. Music will include a performance by Shine Your Light Choir, which includes people living with Alzheimer’s, Lewy body and other types of dementia.
A recognition ceremony will honor five trailblazing people who “shine a light” for those living with cognitive changes.
Each person who registers will receive one complimentary coffee from Luana’s Coffee in Phoenix.
