TORRINGTON, Wyo. (Oct. 15, 2025) – Banner Health is pleased to announce the addition of Jessica Cole, DO, to its primary care team in Torrington, Wyo. Dr. Cole began seeing patients in early September and has already embraced the community she now calls home.
"I really like Torrington – it's exactly the small town that I was looking for," said Dr. Cole. "I really like the people I've met here so far, and I hope to stay here forever. I love Wyoming."
Dr. Cole's connection to Wyoming runs deep. Originally from Ekalaka, Mont., she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where she became a devoted Pokes fan – a passion that continues today as a proud UW alumna.
"I've always really liked Wyoming. The people were very nice here," she said. "I went to a couple of science fairs in the area and really loved the people there, so that's what made me consider the University of Wyoming and Laramie."
Dr. Cole's medical education took her through the Pacific Northwest, with her first two years of medical school in Yakima, Wash., and her final two years in Great Falls, Mont. She completed her residency through a rural training track program in Greeley and Sterling, Colo., which familiarized her with Banner Health's commitment to community-centered care.
As a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Cole brings a unique approach to patient care that emphasizes treating the whole person.
"Originally, I wanted to do speech therapy, and I really liked it, but I was more interested in the whole body," she said. "I knew I wanted to be a DO because osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) was really important to me."
Dr. Cole particularly enjoys working with patients who benefit from OMT, especially those with musculoskeletal complaints.
"I definitely like patients who enjoy OMT and have musculoskeletal issues,” she said.” I'm happy to see babies to 100-year-olds – having that mix is really nice."
When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Cole enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that Wyoming offers. She loves hiking and backpacking, and she's an avid cook who particularly enjoys preparing fresh garden vegetables and finds from the local farmer's market. She's also become a regular at the Elks Lodge, where she enjoys playing pitch.
Dr. Cole is now accepting new patients at Banner Health in Torrington. Her comprehensive approach to family medicine, combined with her specialized training in osteopathic manipulative treatment, makes her a valuable addition to the community's health care team.
