Dr. Abrams brings specialized expertise in brain and spine surgery to the region, expanding access to advanced neurosurgical care for patients across Wyoming and surrounding areas.
Dr. Abrams' journey into neurosurgery was inspired by a transformative patient experience early in her training.
"I cared for a patient with a brain tumor and saw how restoring their function transformed not only their life but also the lives of their loved ones," she recalled. "That experience stayed with me and confirmed that this was the path I wanted to follow."
With a practice philosophy centered on precision, critical thinking and compassionate patient care, Dr. Abrams is committed to guiding patients and families through challenging medical situations.
"The most rewarding part has been witnessing recovery—seeing someone walk again, return to work or simply enjoy time with their family is deeply meaningful," she said.
Dr. Abrams approaches patient care with an emphasis on listening and transparency.
"I make sure patients and families feel heard, that their questions are answered, and that they fully understand their options," she said. "Compassion and transparency are essential to helping them feel supported and empowered, even in overwhelming situations."
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Abrams enjoys outdoor activities with her family, including hiking and exploring new places. She also has a creative side, taking on design projects ranging from custom libraries and cabinetry to home renovations.
"It's a very different kind of precision work than surgery, but it's equally rewarding and creative," she said.
Looking ahead, Dr. Abrams is enthusiastic about joining the Banner Health team and becoming part of the Casper community.
"I'm excited to join a collaborative neurosurgery team and to provide advanced care to patients in Casper and the surrounding region," she said. "I'm also looking forward to becoming part of a community that values connection and growth."
Dr. Abrams is passionate about education and mentoring, particularly for students pursuing careers in science and medicine. She also supports community health initiatives that expand access to care. In her downtime, she enjoys reading historical science works, which allow her to continue learning while unwinding.
