CASPER, Wyo. (Oct. 20, 2025) – Banner Health is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Tutt, DO, to the medical team at Banner Health in Casper. Dr. Tutt brings her comprehensive medical training, international health care experience and a deep appreciation for Wyoming's outdoor lifestyle to serve the community.
Dr. Tutt completed her medical education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas, near her hometown of Austin. She then joined the University of Wyoming family medicine residency program at Casper, graduating in 2024. After briefly practicing in Texas with mentors from medical school, Dr. Tutt has returned to Wyoming, drawn by her love for the mountains and outdoor recreation opportunities.
"I'm thrilled to be back in Wyoming and to join the Banner Health team," said Dr. Tutt. "There's something special about being just 30 minutes away from a mountain or canyon to enjoy the outdoor opportunities this state offers. Being outside is part of life here."
Dr. Tutt's journey into medicine began in high school when she saw a poster for Doctors Without Borders.
"It struck me as a way to combine my passion for history, travel and service to others," she said.
This led her to pursue global health experiences, including wheelchair research in Kenya, street medicine in Mexico and a month-long obstetrics and pediatrics rotation in Malawi, each of which were transformative.
As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Tutt is a fully licensed physician with specialized training in the musculoskeletal system. She offers osteopathic manipulative treatment, providing hands-on adjustments as part of her comprehensive approach to acute and chronic disease management and preventative health. She is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.
"I love primary care because you stay in touch with a bit of everything in medicine and follow patients throughout their lives and across generations," she said. "I take pride in helping people understand their diagnoses and treatment plans, with a strong focus on lifestyle. I hope to be a helpful hub as patients navigate the medical system.”
Dr. Tutt sees all ages from newborn to geriatrics. She is fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing open and affirming care to patients from all walks of life. She views practicing rural medicine in Wyoming as her mission field within global medicine, noting that resourceful and empathetic health care providers are key for these populations.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Tutt enjoys rock climbing and cross-country skiing, often accompanied by her red heeler, Ruby. Her active lifestyle aligns perfectly with Wyoming's outdoor culture and reinforces her commitment to lifestyle medicine.
She is at the Banner Health clinic at 3632 American Way in Casper. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Tutt, call 307-234-6765 or schedule online at https://doctors.bannerhealth.com/provider/emily-tutt/5846803.
