Interests & Activities

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and consider myself to be a proud 'Cheesehead.' I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I double majored in Genetics and Zoology. During this time I worked in a fruit fly laboratory. I then went on to attend Medical College of Wisconsin where I enjoyed volunteering at the Milwaukee Free Clinic and Habitat for Humanity. Residency took me out to east to Richmond, VA. I then spent 2 years in Durham, NC working as a research assistant at Duke University, studying ovarian cancer angiogenesis. I finished my formal training at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA completing a gynecologic oncology fellowship.
