The Hand and Upper Extremity Center at the Orthopedic and Spine Institute is committed to excellence in the treatment of the hand, as well as the wrist, elbow, and shoulder. We treat repetitive motion injuries, traumatic injuries, congenital differences and arthritic conditions.

The Center also serves as the training site for residents and medical students from the University of Arizona Phoenix and other medical schools around the country, and entertains visitors from all over the world.

Our patients are guided through our care model that can combine both inpatient and outpatient care. This innovative and highly collaborative approach includes additional classes and educational materials that we provide to everyone we treat at the Hand and Upper Extremity Center.


The University of Arizona, in coordination with Banner – University Medicine, conducts a variety of research studies and clinical trials to support a commitment to improving patient care.
